FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW ARE VALOR TEAMS FORMED?
Rosters range from 8-10 players. Players will tryout and be placed on a team that we feel is the best fit for their skill level. We have these three categories of teams:
- Developmental & competitive league teams (Typically Metro Prep League or Frisco Fieldhouse).
- Local tournament teams (3-4 local tournaments per season).
- Competitive / travel tournament teams.

DO YOU HAVE TO BE ON A VALOR TEAM TO JOIN SKILLS?
No. Valor offers skills to anyone each season. More info can be found HERE
WHAT IS THE COST TO JOIN A TEAM?
The monthly cost is $215 and includes weekly team practices, plus an additional weekly skills training session, and league games or tournaments. If you prefer to opt out of the weekly skills training, the cost is $160 per month.
*This pricing is for teams that practice weekly, if the team practices more than once a week fees may differ.*
Uniforms are an additional $136 and will be shipped directly to your home. Players will have the opportunity to choose their jersey number during the ordering process.
HOW LONG DOES THE SEASON LAST?
We offer league and local tournament teams in the Fall, Winter, Spring, & Summer and each season lasts about 10 weeks per season.
Competitive travel tournament teams begin in late February and will continue through late July / early August.
ARE UNIFORMS INCLUDED IN THE TEAM FEE?
No. There is a “one time” uniform fee until uniforms change, or the player outgrows or loses their uniform – at which point – they will need to pay for a new uniform.
WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE SEASON?
The season begins the first week of September, which is when all teams will officially start practices. Season will run for 10 weeks and will end the first week of November.
WHERE AND WHEN WILL PRACTICES BE HELD?
Frisco teams will practice at a FISD middle school (Vandeventer, Maus, Nelson have been used in the past – but locations may change). Practices will likely be Monday through Thursday nights. Your specific team will be notified via Team Snap as soon as the rosters are formed and these details are known.
NDV (North Dallas) teams practice at John Paul II High School in Plano (near Coit/George Bush).
HOW OFTEN AND HOW LONG ARE PRACTICES?
Most teams practice weekly for 90 minutes.
WHERE WILL GAMES BE PLAYED?
League teams most commonly play at Frisco Fieldhouse or Metro Prep League (in Frisco Middle Schools.) Metro Prep League is a mini-tournament format with 2 games per weekend with 8 games total, and there is a $5 per adult admission charge to these games (kids are free).
ARE THERE TRYOUTS?
Yes. All new players will need to try out and be placed on a team. Returning Valor players from the prior season do NOT need to tryout. If a player has missed one or more seasons with us, they will need to try out again unless otherwise specified by the coach and/or director.
HOW DO I ORDER A UNIFORM?
When you are invited to register for a team – instructions on how & where to purchase a uniform will be sent out.
HOW MUCH DO THE UNIFORMS COST?
The game uniforms include a reversible, sublimated game top and shorts for $136. Shooting shirts are optional and can be purchased as well. It is highly recommended that new players order a practice jersey to wear to practices. Also, game uniforms typically take 3-4 weeks to arrive, but practice jerseys have a much quicker turnaround time. This ensures they’ll have something to wear for the first game.
